2 DC's or 1 SA 8

Looking to pick up a pair of DC level 2 8's. Will these sound beefier/ louder than 1 sa8v2? Need a lil input from tha top dogs. Will be running 1 500 watt RMS mono. I'll have to pick up a custom ported from double07 for the pair.

not trying t hijack, just looking for more of an answer as to why..

is it just a simple running 2 DC 8's instead of just 1?

or is it that he is only running 500 watts and thats plenty for the DC 8s to sound good as opposed to 500 watts just enough to make the SA8 sound good but needs alot more to bring it alive?

Two 8" subs have more cone area than just a single 8", so with everything else being equal they should get louder and have less distortion than the single 8" on the same amount of power.
