2 CVRs vs. 1 CVX

I currently have 2 Kicker CVR 12s hooked up to a Kicker ZX750.1 amp, both subs wired to 2 ohms. If I sold rid of the CVRs and bought a 1 CVX 12, would there be a big difference or no?

2 more cvr's and another 750.1 If your happy with the subs you could always do that.

if your looking to get some xtra slap and want the cvx's, just buy 2 of them and anoher 750.1, one per sub

I want the sub that sounds clearer and I want to go with Kicker, even though I heard that Kicker isn't much a SQ sub.

A CVX RMS is 750 and right now I'm pushing both CVRs at 400 RMS each. So the CVX probably wouldn't be as loud right?

Well either way 2 cvx's or 4 cvr's with two 750.1 would be a good deal louder than just 2 cvr's. The 4 cvr's would be louder than the cvx's

You know I couldnt tell you really to be honest but I can tell you that how "clear it sounds" is gonna have a huge deal to do with your box, tuning, air space, and port area. They both probably have very close to the same sound quality.

For SQ, the JL w6 is probably better than the CVX right?

CVX is a better all around built subwoofer than the CRV, hence the price of them. If you want to slap hard, then do another 750.1 and 2 more of the CRV's, and if not and what to still get fairly loud and sound good, get two of the CVX's off either another 750.1, or a good single 1500rms amp.

I had heard a shit ton of CVR setups in the day, because they are cheap and I had 1 12" CVX off a 750.1 Autotek amp and the CVX defintley sounds better IMO and gets louder if you compare one sub to one CVR.

So kinda up to you with your budget in mind, space and what not. If it was me, I would do 2 CVX's if I was to stay with Kicker and another 750.1 or a single Kicker amp over 1500rms.
