Im helping one of my friends build his system in his car now and were having a problem picking subs, im trying to figure out if he would be better off with 4 cadence or lanzar 15s (basically both the same, just lesser known brands) or 2 CV 15s, but the cvs are obviously alot better, SN/db ratio is about the same, main difference i can see is magnet weight and the general construction of the sub. Do you guys think the 4 cheaper 15s would beat harder than the 2 CVs? SQ isnt a problem for this dude as hes all for SPL, so SQ isnt a concern right now. All together 2 CVs and 4 cadences or lanzars would cost about the same so thats why were having a hard decision. This setup is going in a 66 chevy nova btw, if that matters.

BTW, right now for subs im running 2 us amps xt4000d and 2 CV stroker 15s, he LOVES my setup but wants to try and get something better i guess.

Which Cadence 15s??? How much power is he going to have.. and from what??? If you are talking about wild beast and he can properly get power to them, that would be one LOUD system... 4 15s (assuming they aren't total junk) should be LOUDER because of sheer cone area over two Strokers... I'd go 4 Wild Beast 15s and nearly 4000watts... but he has to be able to have clean power and a GOOD electrical system.
