i have a punch150 25 to life edition (300w @ 4 ohms x 2 channels).

i bought the amp to specifically run my ba pro 60's. they get loud, and take the power all day, but i think i can use my power more efficiently.

my question is this (i assume it'll work, i just dont know if i should): can i wire up 2 sets of components, one in the front doors and one in the rear that are roughly 150w each and are 4 ohm sets, and wire them in parallel (ie, running wire back and forth much like you would for a subwoofer, just this time through the doors) for a 2 ohm load and then use 1 channel on the amp for the two right speakers and the 2nd channel for the two left?

yes, it of course sounds like it works, much like it does for subwoofers, but im wondering if having the xover will affect anything (since speakers are 4 ohms and tweeters are 8 or something similar) or is that a non issue and as long as the resistance coming out of the xover is what i need, its all good?

yes, i probably should buy a 4 channel amp, but im trying to make this over powered component amp work for me on the cheap.

don't waste money on rear speakers
ok, but that wasnt the question.

besides, ive never ran rear fill in my life. ive only upgraded front speakers, and its always been with component sets. i dont really need a lecture as to why not to run rear fill.

i have pro60's up front with 300w on each side. how much more power do you think i can send to them before i pop em? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif these guys are maxxed out, and ive been in cars where IMO, the rear fill helps keep up with subwoofers that are overbearing.

there's nothing wrong with it - you just can't fade.

It's a good way to get everything out of a 2 ch IMO. A lot of people just use them to power a 4 ohm pair while 1/3-1/2 of its power capability goes unused.

hmm, so maybe its not as ghetto as i thought //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif thanks again!
