1 Ohm stable stereo or bridged?

You'll likely be looking at oldschool gear and not too much newer stuff...like the old Orion HCCAs and gear of that ilk...

well i dont want the trouble of buying used stuff and not being able to find as many as i need. so i guess what are some mono amps that play like 20-20k hz (like 2 ch stereo amps do)?

Honestly I wouldn't have a clue as to a monoblock that is designed for full-range duty.

I cannot say with any certainty that they aren't out there since I just don't know but I'm not aware of any...

ok well how bout this.

good amp that does 150w rms x 2 @ 2 ohm (for my tweeters)

then we will move on to my mids, im thinking what power i need for them now.

Look into the Alpine PDX amps.

I know some of the Hifonics XX amps are 1 ohm stereo stable.

what if i find two 2 channel amps and bridge each, it would be mono on either side, and should still do frequencies to 20k since its a 2 ch amp?

Christ thats alot of power. I guess a alpine pdx 150x4 bridged for the mids and a 150x2 to the tweets. Do you really need that much power at low ohms?(bridging comp speakers?) I would say get a jl 450/4 and run 75x2 to the tweets and 150 x2 for the mids. Thats about all the power youll need for comps.? So after a little research because I had some free time looks like there are some just depends on how much cash you want to spend.

You could go with the PDX like chucku stated, they have nothing that goes 1ohm but they got 2ohm.

The JL 450/4 is super nice. There is a 450/4 and 500/1 the black ones to for sale still under warranty in the classifieds if they are still there. The guy selling them is a stand up guy on many forums to. I would check out some of the old PPI Art series stuff and see if any of those fit to, I know you want new.
