2 Amps...Help!!

I have a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the stock infinity amp and ive installed my new head unit and hooked up the blue/white wire from the harness to the back of the cd player so the stock amp would come on......but when i hook up my other amp for my subs to the back of the cd player then the sound goes away as if its cutting the stock amp off but the HU is still playin and functioning......how can i get it to where both my amps power on? any help greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

That stock head unit my not have enough voltage to turn them both on. You may need to install a relay to switch the amps on. Do a search on installing a relay, Im sure there are threads on here that explain which relay you need and how to wire it.

If the problem is too much current draw, it's not likely a relay would help. A relay coil requires at least three times more current than an amplifier turn-on. The accessory wire might be an option, but first he needs to make sure the problem isn't a short in the wire. The factory amp and subwoofer amp shouldn't draw enough current to kill a head unit's remote output.
