If the true power is going to be the same to each sub as it is right now, it isn't going to make it harder. With two RFs, it will sound a bit cleaner though.
whoa bigun....
he's doubling his power....in theory, there are two ways to increase spl to the point u hear it, 3db.....one is doubling the surface area, the other is doubling of power....
he's keeping the same amount of sub, but is adding a second amp of equal power to the first..hence doubling...
so in theory party...u should experience a increase of spl of 3 db..or twice as loud as u are now....
the only catch..is make sure u are matching ur impedence correctly...if not, adding the second amp will do nothing but add a current draw to ur electrical system..
also, depression is also correct...running two amps means setting two gains...and if they aren't close, ur sytem will/could sound like ***, due to one sub/amp peaking before the other...hence distortion..
hope that helps....
to help clarify..what is the vc configuration on ur subs? what are the specs on the amp? with those, a more accurate anwer will be possible..
