2 alpine swr-1242d subs and 1 mtx thunder elite 801d amp

I have 2 alpine type R subs and a mtx 801d amp. What the best way to wire them to get the best hard hitting bass from this. I listen to a lot of rap music and I like it loud. Help me out.

The box is the most important aspect, so long as you have halfway decent stuff. You have good subs and a good amp, you need a good box to get the most out of them. Are your subs D4ohm or D2ohm?

the 4 in the modle number stands for 4ohms which means that amp you can only run those @ 4ohms. that amp can't handle a 1ohm load on it. so that amp will only push 400 to those subs. 200 to each of them. should got a different amp that can run 1000-1200 @1ohm.

Yeah, if they're the D4 subs you need to get a new amp that can handle a 1ohm load and give you 1kw. There are a ton of amps that can do that for you.

I have a sealed sub zero box and I'm installing them in a 07 Honda accord. The subs are 4 Ohm. Head unit is a pioneer premier deh-p510ub cd player and also have a kinetik hc600 600 watt 12 volt power cell battery so my headlights don't dim..

yeah that's alot better. you'll then have 450per sub. then wire the subs like this.....
