hows the crossovers on these? would i find it similar to my 9887, because i'm honestly looking for more adjustability.

I don't have any experience with the 9887 but I am sure you can look up the difference online. I loved this deck when I had it and so did the previous owners before I took it out for them. Im sure you will be able to adjust it to your liking better than the 9887.
