2 8's vs single 10 or 12

Alright....don't make fun. I'm sure this has been said a few times. I don't know much about audio installs but I'm going to attempt it and build my own box. I have very limited space, approx 1 cubit foot, in the shape of a wedge. I would have room for 1 12 or 1 10 on the face or 2 8's from the sides. Ported or sealed, depending on what subs I go with. The basic question is, on a very tight budget of $100 what would be best. I can get the RF P1S48's , 2 for 90$ shipped or a very wide variety of 10/12's. Any help is appreciated.

very few 12s work with just 1 cube. even sealed. best go with a good 10. and not low line rockford. it cost to be he boss ya know. maybe a little alpine typse s or somthing like that
i would go with 1 nice 10....a 12 is gonna need more room than 1 cube even sealed.
not sure what you 2 are talking about, but there are a ton of 12's (if not most) that work fine in 1 cubes sealed. a single 12 sealed is probably 1 of the better options, although i enjoy making 8's loud (shock value). bigger question is mounting depth. that might force a 10 or a couple of 8's.
