2 8" subs or 1 10" sub?

Okay, I have the 10" sub already selected if I choose to go 10", a Diamond d610d2.

Now, I'm not so much interested in deep bass or extremely loud bass. I want very good SQ in a small enclosure. I'll be placing them in my back hatch(1999 Mitsu Eclipse) but I want to have trunk space.

I'm pairing them with some Rainbow Contour Line 6 1/2" components.

What 8" subs(I've been wanting an rl-i, but I've been waiting forever.) would be good options in comparison to a d610?

I'll be amping whatever I buy on a viper d1200.1

im not sure i understand your question - D6 and an Rl-i would be a poor comparison,D6s are more like RL-p in catagory

I have owned a pair of 10" TC2+ subs,which are pretty much RL-i's for all intensive porposes and was not happy with them at all - I do own D6s and think getting a better sub at that price is tough.D6s kick some *** in the SQL dept

Well, there isn't an RL-p 10 or 8" sub ;-o

What WOULD you compare to a d6?
