Would 2-8" aeros be too much to hit 45hz on a BL 18 in 5 cubes net?

What do you mean by "too much?" They'd have to be right around 21" each.

It ends up being right around 20in^2 per ft^3...if you're going for spl then that's fine. If you're going for daily your sub will unload very easily below 40hz.

And there should be at least 4" of clearance for each port, right, I mean between ports and walls

8 inches clearance if you can get it. these are actual flared aero's i assume.

i always try to keep them away from any wall, as much as the port is wide. so a 4 inch port, i would attemp to keep it away from either wall. if the enclosure doesn't allow that, then i do as much as possible at least.

wait. if this isn't an spl box, then you have issues in my opinion. first off, that box is too small for an 18, and a 45hz tuning isn't better for any type of music.
