2 6 volt batts for 12 volt load anyone?????

anyone ever heard of using 2 large 6 volt batts in series for a 12 volt load in a car audio application?

Guess you will have to see if its worth it. How much are the two large 6 volt batts. Do they out cost one large 12 volt batt. Or are they cheaper. Remember that the CCA will stay the same. So if the 6 volt batt is only 500cca its going to stay the same in series.

hey bud, it would work...never done it, but i know of someone wired a 12v and a 8v batt together for a 20v burp.

got over 5k out of a single 20.1

all the guys on the water that rock out for 8+ straight hours on their 6 volt banks with over 10k watts rms dont think they are a waste of time. i'll be going to them soon. my group 30's arent keeping up.
