seal ported what

my first run with 2 12's and the amp in my sig was 141.0. same setup playing and moving **** around, kids on the trunk its now 142.6

so who knows. just play around with it

its not a bad score tho

All depnds on the box and the power your giving them. I was doing a 146dB with my 15" Brahma and 1200w. Now I am running a 15" Power Bass Extreme (which puts out as much SPL, if not more, as the Brahma) but on the new Term Lab mics, I'm doing 142dB. (I need a bigger box)

With two 15's you should be using about a 10cu' box...but it all depends on the power your giving them too.

140 isn't a bad score...but with two 15's there is so much more potential.....i hopeing for a 150 tomorrow with my two 15's....

like the others above have said....power and box........i know ur running memphis subs, so handling power shouldn't be a problem...u just need to get rid of ur excelon amp....also, box tuning and size with affect ur score....

shop around, give those subs a real amp and try again...then start playing with boxes

have fun and

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if that 140 is on an audiocontrol...thats a really crappy score.

On a termlab, its not "bad" depending on your install. If you have a full wall and 5000 watts, 140 is pitiful...but 140 with a pair of sealed or tuned really low 15's isn't bad.

Where you playing music/tones/sweep?

I did 150.1 on the new tlab with 2 15's in a half wall @ 52hz and 1400 watts.

I finally got my setup metered yesterday at a SLAP show but 2 of my 15's were blown. My score for a 6 cubic foot box and 2 15's tuned to 31hz in the trunk and about 1000w per sub was 145db. Oddly enough it was 145db at 22 volume and 145db at 35 volume at 39hz. Not to sidetrack but in theory when my subs get reconed I should break 150 right? Double power and double surface area should give me 6db's theoretically right?

My friend had 2 idmax 12's sealed in a 2.45 cf box in his vw golf gti and hit 147.6 before his 100a fuse blew. It's all in the install! Another guy hit 149.8 with 2 10's in the back of his jeep which is rockin' too.

What mic was that? Is SLAP using the new TL this year or what mic do they use?

I see, then likely it will change day to day, one day with your setup now might be 150, another might be 145, but theoretically fixing everything up and getting it running all back to normal should put you over 150. My meter (classic TermLab) one day decides to give me a 147, the next day well into the 150s...temperature and barometric pressure i am sure have a lot to do with it, but not the case with the new sensor.

Yea...I got on the AC a while ago.

First run, 158.5, second run (it was a little colder) 154 even. Then I came back after the show and got a little over 158 again, but this time with the door open and on the floor. That meter is useless.

Termlab was right on...122.3 in driveby one time, few weeks later, 122.3, same song used. I'll be buying one soon..it helps that the best is also the cheapest //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You score shouldve been higher being the air was denser (colder), at least I think that's how it works...

not sure..didn't take specific notes on the weather //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It was a semi consistent drop for everyone though, the guy that ran before me dropped 4 db, i dropped 4.5db...perhaps because i was already 4db louder i lost more? not sure, tlab for life though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the new tl is a monster.....most say it reads 7-10db lower then last years. it really crushed alot of ppl sunday....me too at first, but considering that i burped at 46hz (my boxes are tuned around 34hz) a 145.5 with two 15's, 1000 wrms and no wall(or half wall...dunno what u'd call it)..i'm actually pretty pleased..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/handclap.gif.0c301076f534e244f0460706894f19e0.gif
