2 15" Mags

7-8cuft@ 30-35Hz with 100sqin of port area or 4 6" Aeroports. You have to remember, even below tuning you have 2 high displacement 15" woofers, so you can tune a little higher and still keep decent low end.

What kind of vehicle is this going in? For a truck try to do up firing like mine downfiring works well too in daily application if you have the room. For an SUV/Hatch do the subs up and the ports back. For a trunk car do all facing back or, if you can, do it all on the deck facing up...which would be sweet.

I got a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I would go with Subs up, ports back. I had my 04 xxx tuned to 33hz in a 4.5ft^3 and i loved it, so I might tune these to 33, I listen to a lot of rap, so that should be good. You think I will get a noticable increase in output by these 2 15 mags over my 1 15 xxx, it only saw around 1300watts.

YES!

SX's where louder than XXX's, even on drop in. Most testing has confirmed that Mags are even louder than SX's!

Better yet you are going from one inefficent 15 (I assume) to two very efficent 15's and 300w more power. Night and day difference my friend.

As far as firing. Some will say Fire subs and ports back, some will say subs up ports back. Casey (Kickin' on SoundSolutionsAudio.com and FloridaSPL.com, as well as on here IIRC) has done tons of testing in his Jeep Cherokee and he fires his SoloX's & Ports back. I've found that CRX style boxes (up firing subs, rear firing ports) works great 99.9% of the time in SUV's so I'm going to reccomend what I know will work. However I reccomend that you talk to Casey if you can and find out what he thinks will work best for you.

Well what Im really hoping for is to talk to loyd (bigbassman) and talk about box designs, he lives relatively close to me so maybe I could meet up with him and get him to help me with my install if I payed him. But thats just wishful thinking, I've never talked to him b4 but he seems like a cool guy and I know he loves car audio so maybe he could help me out. Hopefully Ill be able to talk to him soon.

Well, if I can get the info to who to talk to/ where to send $ im also in on this GB. Id be picking up atleast 2 15s as well. Would I just call up Low-Hz ? or is there a specific member on this forum. Ive looked over on ecoustics and Im either blind or just can not find the info needed.

Might have to go with a 5cube front fired sealed box for the time being with about 700rms per sub (since I cant stuff 7 cubes ported into my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ) but im sure even with that it will do just fine.

I emailed Kevin last night and he got back with me today with all the info i needed. Definitely hit him up and put in your oder, the more they get the cheaper they are!!! I dont know how many they have so far but we should hit 8 no problem which makes the 15's $375 a piece, but I think we can get to 12 no problem, and then who knows where it will go from there bc the price will just keep dropping, so i imagine more and more ppl will buy.

True but there is only a limit to how low it will drop. I dont think we'll see prices below low 300s for the 15s, but then again who knows.
