One more comment on this before I leave.

I just adjusted the gains. ~40v on the rail before I put a load on it, ~38v on the rail pushing the subs full tilt. No noticeable clipping, but the burps are so loud and violent my ears dont have time to tell. After impeadance rise they are probably only getting 1500w or so... So there is room for twice this power. Even full tilt right now they are only reaching about 1/2 excursion when I burped at 38Hz....my previous set-up's peak frequincy.

And yes, I was being stupid enough to burp with out ear protection. My ears still have a little ring in them.

i would say not over 1200 watts....its a very efficient sub and does not take much to make a lot of noise.

nope its perfect....just set your gain knobs appropriately and they should sound FANTASTIC!!

are you going ported or sealed?

Probably going to go ported tuned to around 33hz, but ill make sure to not make the box to big and I will definitely be careful. I shouldnt have to push the 2 15's that hard to get loud.

Not much at all. At low levels the Mag's are barely walking to the firdge....by the time they are even jogging my ears are already past distortion and it isnt comfertable for more than a few minutes. The up side I can be equally loud while taxing my electrical system about 1/8 as much.

1000w and you will be sitting pretty in any alignment. More than that in a decent sized sealed box and the coil will meet the backplate...I wouldnt trust the coils to handle more than 1300-1400w for very long though. 1000w and a single 15 sealed or 12 ported is more than enough to satisfy most system's bass needs with a little extra for the basshead inside you.

Well I already have my Orion 2500d, but Im thinking since Mags only come in dual 2 ohm, if I get 2 15's and wire them series/parallel, then my Orion will see a 2 ohm load and its rating is 1600watts @ 2 ohm, so each sub will get 800. Port them in recommended size tuned to 30Hz, should be good to go, what you guys think?

That will sound awsome. Just make sure to build that box STURDY.
