I have two 2004 dual 4 ohm 15" kicker L7's. I also have a planet audio TT-2250D amp. They are in a 9.5 cubic foot net box and its ported to 35 hz. It's all in a 1996 GMC Jimmy. They are ran in parallel to a 1 ohm load and the amp puts out around 2000 watts or so. I set the gain with the gain setting tutorial and my 2 10 inch CVR's were louder.....so i decided to set it by ear. They do get loud......but maybe im doing something wrong, or maybe im half deaf and dont know it.
My voltage meter drops down to like 12 volts when the bass hits real hard. I have done the big three upgrade and I have a new battery and alternator.....all stock(100 amp alt). I know i should get a bigger one, but for right now I cant afford it. I guess i was expecting it to hit extremly hard and it to nearly take the breath outa ya.....but for some reason it doesnt.
I have 4 gauge power and ground....as recommended from the manual. I have a maxi fuse block with a 100 amp maxi fuse. Amp pulls 175 amps.....currently waiting for a bigger fuse block. Anyone know what im doing wrong?
