2 15 L7s NOT LOUD

If your ports are right against the back wall or glass or whatever, you will lose some volume. OTOH, you do want them to be close enough to reflect off of something, I hear generally a foot or so for good reflections.

idk i think you definitely need more power on them but still something is wrong. my friend had 2 12" L7's in a hoe and it was LOUDD. they were running off of a kx1200.1
yeah, they should still get loud for sure. You have something wired wrong/connections aren't strong.

Still almost 1kw per woofer should still get those things pretty loud don't you think?
Other than making sure they are wired @ 1 ohm and not 4 ohms, try sub up port back, with your box pushed to the back of the seats, i'd say your box sucks, or you don't know how to tune an amp.

I still can't believe that (2) 15 L7's aren't loud in a blazer.
Thats why im pissed these things should be slammin. I do know how to make boxes fairly well and the box they are in doesnt **** , i took my time and did everything right. Ive had many setups and i know what im doing. After all i have done these things just arent as loud as i expected. Does anyone have any friends or have a link with a blazer w/ my setup or close to it ? im about to call it quits on these subs and get some Type Rs again.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

It sounds like your subs aren't getting enough power. L7's are going to need more power in a smaller box like that one (I have a little 3.5 ft^3 fart box and 2000W+ on tap, I know what they need). Those people in this thread that said 8+ cubes for 2 L7 15's is too large are absolutely retarded.

But what do I know? I have the same sub and a termlab.

Well mate...I got mine installed. I got the gain on my 1500.1 set at 1/4th (Just to be safe in case of break-inage is true) and at 1/4th gain with no bass boosts and HU at 40/60 (less than 3/4th) it is definetly loud. My girlfriend says the windows on her house were shaking when I was lettin em play in the drive way a bit on this setting (to break in)...while I was sitting in there was definetly nose tickling, a little throat pushing (the kind you can feel in your throat) and a ton of that (somebody is thumping my heart) feeling. Um...rearview mirror was a blur and windows were definetly doing some flexin....

Cant wait to crank it up (being safe with the break in)

But ya man...if its not OBVIOUSLY really loud...then somethings wrong...

wall+more power=//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif but let's see some pics of setup could help some of us and you out. And who ever say's less space is better are just wrong wrong wrong 15" L7's thrive on 4+cu., 4.5cu. net tuned to 33hz was the sweet spot from my personal trial and error. L7's also like to be powered w/ ATLEAST their rms rating's. I also don't know if this was mentioned earlier in the thread but your electrical could play a big part. Stock alt and 4ga. can only take you so far

Just my 2 cent:cool: also j/w what part of illinois are you from
