2 12's vs 4 8's or 1 15

so ive been wondering what should i get out of these three choices. Im looking for a loud SQL type set up. My choices so far are:

1: 15 inch T3 audio T.2000

2: Two 12 inch RE audio mx's

3: 4 8 inch sundown audio SA-8's.

These will be hooked up to a soundstream 2500d amp. A 18inch is out of the question because of its size, feel free to add your own ideas...

imo and based off quick winisd comparison, they are all gonna be pretty close. i would go whatever was cheapest. or if u want smaller box the 8s might do that(not sure as ive never designed a box for four 8s with port area included) but 4 sa8 only need 2.4-2.5 while two 12s and a 15 need 3.5 (before port displacement)

i would personally do two 12s or single 15, but the 8s would be different and surprise people

Its louder than my OS HCCA 15, but these are running at .5 on the 2200, the 15 was at 1ohm

cant tell you how it compares meter wise, havent got to the termleezy yet

in theory... but no. an 8 inch sub does not have a 8 inch cone, its more like 6.5, and a 15 is closer to 13. they are very comparable in cone area size

They're actually pretty close. As an example, the 8" AA Assassin has a sd of 196cm^2, and the 15" Chaos has a sd of 810cm^2. So the comparison there would be 784cm^2 vs 810vs^2, which is really not even worth worrying about...because a dual 12 setup will give you around 960cm^2 of cone area. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I had some Mojo 12" sponsored to me, I ended up ditching the idea and planned on using (4) SA-8's. I may go back to a (2) 12" set up if I find something I like better before I buy the 8"s.
