2 12's: suggestions

so i 1 for the alpines and 1 for the jl.

any other takers?

12" Jl w6 VS 2 12" alpine type-r

500rms juice and into a ported enclosure. which offers better SQ/SPL?

jl would sound better but the 2 type rs should get louder another sub would be a 10 or 12" kicker l5 in a ported box (not small ported but at least the med ported req by kicker the bigger you go the louder and better they sound) i know some people will disagree but if done right it will get plenty loud and have better than average sq. also look into memphis subs the m3s can get loud and sound pretty good too. but also remember 1 thing 90% of how this will sound is going to be install dependant REGUARDLESS what the equipment is.

I would look for some POWERBASS EXTERME 12's they have okSQ but have great SPL for the dollar. You will proably find they will cost a little more than 300 for a pair but you will not regret buying them. I used to have on PB EXT 12 in like a 2 cube box ported it sounded great.
