Wrong. L7s can get low. They don't need to have the SSF on. It all depends on how you make your box and how it is tuned. If its in a sealed box you do not need the SSF on and yes they will get low. If in a ported box then yes you should have the SSF filter on, at all times.

so would a 15" L5 sound nice in a sealed box. something around 2-3 cubes, with 800wrms?
