Trust me u will not be disappointed if u go wit the SE over the l5's. i would take RE over kicker anyday, thats the way i see it. They have great SQ and they get hella loud. trust me if u install them right they will sound like music 2 your ears.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif go wit the RE's and trust me u will be satisfied wit your choice. they will give u everything your lookin for.

i'll second taking the SE's over the L5's!! BUT, on the recommendation of people from this site...i also bought those FMODS...i bought the 20hz highpass ones. BUT, when they are hooked up...my subs don't perform as well...just slightly less. AND, actually...one sub would hit a fraction of a second later than the other. When i called edesigns and talked to Ben about my problem...he said it was prolly the fmods. He said unless i was going full tilt/full power @10hz to bass mekanik or something, he said i would be fine with out them. SO, my guess is the the fmods were not matched and made exactly the same...so just might save u some money...or hopefully urs work properly. BUT, according to the maker/ CEO of the company that makes my subs...i don't really need them. so, good luck...peace

If I put 2 10" L7's in a 3.1^3 ft box, what size ports should I use to get the best bumps, I listen to mostly rap or some rock stuff. And where can I get sub sonic filters?

go w/ one RE HC 12/15" ported in a 3 cube box.

I have one, and it friggin slams like a mofo. Louder than 2 12" type-R's, louder than a 15" L7 running on 1200 watts (my HC is only gettin 500), and i bet it will be louder than 2 10" L7's in that small of a box.

You will not be dissapointed.

:edit: i have also heard that a subsonic filter isn't necesarry for ported use, only if you're running a lot of power to the sub. The guy @ my local shop told me that most CD's are only rated to go down to 20hz, so you won't even have to worry about cutting out the frequencies if you were going to go w. a subsonic filter (i'm not totally sure about that tho).

Originally posted by Miller I'de like to have 2 subs, I like 2 better then one. What do you think is the best sub for around $170, except the RE SE's??
i used to think the same thing, 'till i got my sub! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
