2 12" mags vs 2 audioque hd312

loudness isnt all im concerned with, from what ive read the hd312's sound pretty **** good, just not as good as the mag... i listen to all types of music, everything from rap, to metal, to trance, to drums and bass, to punk, so hopefully the hd3's can keep up to my tastes

why not get one hd312 now and make sure it isnt loud enough for what you want and if you wanted louder then get the other hd312,2500.1, and 2400.

because i want to run two twelves and have room for upgrades in the future if i want to, i dunno why but i dont think that one twelve will be enough for what i want, two 12's off of 2500.1 would be louder than just one because of cone area correct?

You obviously haven't heard alot of subs if you dont think one 12" could be enough. Before you spend the extra $300 on another hd312 just try one and see if its loud enough. Your not losing anything just trying it. You could actually be saving a ton of money if you do it this way.

Agreed.

It sounds like you want more of a SQL setup. I would go with one on the amp you have now.

2 won't be THAT much louder, and honestly 1 should be loud enough for any daily setup.

I dont have the amp yet, and if im goin with 1, i might as well step it up to the 15" do you think that is a wise choice? just be sure you understand what i want: alot more ouput than the 15" mag ported, and still sounding almost as good

the mag was in a 3.5 cuft @ 28hz with an orion1200d 1200rms, and what you guys are saying makes sense, spend the money now so i dont have to spend more changing up in the future... i just wonder if 2500.1 running two hd312s will even be decent

I have mine tuned at 30 and its just NOT loud enough for rme, so I just bought a new box tuned at 37 that should be here in a couple weeks

I am not sure who did. I thought Nick hit around 144 db's with 2 12's sealed though in his integra.

In a proper setup 2 12's ported should be in the high 140's to very low 150's.

wow thats a nice number for that amount of power. i saw Ledgerwoods score of a 57 on music; its amazing for 4 hd3 12s.

hmm, now im really on the fence again.. 2 12" mags would run me more than 2 2 hd3's but sound better, 2 hd3's would cost less and get louder but not sound as good, 1 12 hd3 is a possibility, but i would like to go with at least 2 12's because i am sealing the front of the sub box up against where the seat folds down, so the box has to be pretty big ie 2 12's or 1 15
