Completely install dependent. That would be very close IMO. If I had to choose, I'd probably go with the L5s though.
^^Would you now? Have you heard a Type-R? L5's will not compete with the Type-R's sorry but they just won't. I would take the pines, a much better sub.

Yes, I have heard Type R's and I have written lengthy posts on this very board defending them against bashers. However, like I said, if I were choosing between two Type R's and two L5's, I'd go with the L5s. Sure, some Type R setups will be louder than some L5 setups and vice versa. Like I said, this one would be almost completely install dependent assuming they're being fed equal amounts of power.
This is just terrific. As if there haven't been enough vs. Type R threads.
To the original poster, I don't know if you did this on purpose but if you are looking for a genuine answer then you probably won't get one that isn't biased in some way.
