2 12'' 02 Kicker L5's or 2 12'' Infinity Kappa Perfects?

Which one would be better? The Perfects are $179.99, buy one get one free, with free shipping at Crutchfield. The L5's are $85 a piece at Sonic Electronix. The only problem I have with the L5's is that they are the 02 model, and they might not be up to standards and/or refurbished. Which one would be better?

what are your goals, those are two very different drivers. for the price of the perfects, you're better off getting something TC2+ based... check out O Audio's stuff...

I'm looking for mostly SPL. I've heard the Perfects are more of an SQ sub, but I also heard they can pound. Anyone else?

i cant say i have heard many if any very loud infinties....

look for something else....

for the 200 you are not goin to have alot of options for spl subs....

do you already have an amp? how much power are you working/planning on using for your system?

box is basically about 90% of the equation for the way your subs will sound and how loud they get...

If SPL is your primary goal, scratch Infinity off your list. The L5s would be a good get. At $85 apiece, I'd say they're refurbs. If they're factory refurbs with the factory warranty, I'd say go for it. You'd be very hard pressed to find a better SPL sub for $85.

do O audio 12" TC2+s d00d... if i had the money i seriously would right now. they're only available in SVC 4ohm which isn't a bad thing IMO. for the price, i seriously doubt you can find anything better. i've only read good things about them, and you just can't go wrong w/ tc2+s mangalang!!
