I'm going to buy 1 500/1 JL amp to start. And I'm wondering if two 10w7's in the back of my 92 camry would be ****ing AWESOME. After awhile I'm going to either buy another 500/1 or maybe even think about getting a 1000/1 in order to buy one more further down the road. Currently I have 2 12 Orion XTR's. Is it possible to get 2 12W7's back there? I don't know. Just give me some opinions on sound. Thanks.

Also,

Please help me on my general discussion question.

if money is NOT an object at all...then go JL, but there are quite a few options out there that you probably dont know about.

what are you looking for in your sub(s)? really loud? sound good? both? what car is this going into (you might run into alternator problems down the line...)?

with the money you spend on jl you could get a adire/re/ed/id system that would kill it in spl and sq

The JL amps are excellent amps. Yes, they are priced high, but in my eyes, they are worth it. I have been through JL Audio W7 and amp training, and i learned things i never knew about their amps. They are worth the money. Yes, you can get some really good stuff for a cheaper price, but if you have the money, go for it.

yea...the technology that allows them to do the same wattage on 1.5-4 ohms is pretty amazing....they are very very nice amplifiers.

i wasnt dissing jl but i think there is better for the money. the w7 is awsome but for the price you could get 2 a's. the id max is even is sq imo and gets around the same spl numbers
