I was just curious. I have 2 old 10W6s 300 RMS 500 MAX and was thinking," to reach the full potential of the subs, wouldn't it be better to get a 1000. I f i got a 1000, I could set the subs up to RMS and when a song comes up with super bass, the sub would have all the power it needed to PEAK if it could?????"

ps. I am planning on getting the JL 500/1.

thanks,

oO

naw a sub doesnt work like that. the sub can handle 300 watts of contiinuous power. it could handle 500 watts only for a few seconds or for burps or whatever. Get a nice 600 watt amp..or the JL 500/1 would be a real good match

grow some balls and get the 1000/1. Those subs should be fine with the gain turned down.

Your are better off getting the 1000/1 because down the road you may want to upgrade your subs and that amp should do good on just about anything.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
