2 10w3v3 JL's with a JL 500/1 amp Gain and db setting help!

I just bought 2 brand new JL audio 10" w3v3's and a JL audio 500/1 mono amp to power them. Im putting them in a downfiring sealed encloure under the back bench seats of my 2001 chevy silverado. Im using a 8g scosche wiring kit.

QUESTIONS:

will 8g/a be enough?

what gains and other setting should i tune to for the best high and low bass?

I also want to run both 4ohm speakers into a non bridgeable 2 ch amp at 2 ohms.. how would i wire it up?

Non-bridgable 2 channel amp? I thought the amp was a 500/1? If so wire the subs pos. to pos. and neg. to neg. and boom, 2 ohm. And I would get 4 gauge wire for 500 watts. Especially with a Scosche amp kit. They're shit.

There ya go OP. You're running decent equipment. The amp kit isn't where you want to skimp. You've got nice JL equipment and you're going to run a Walmart amp kit. Doesn't make much sense does it? Run a good amp kit now and when you upgrade more wattage later you'll thank me.

alright so 4 guage power, 4 gauage ground, same guage remote wire as my head unit right? 12g?? and any specfic guage posotive and negative from speakers? im guessing 4 as well. thanks guys!

A good brand 12 guage will work great should come with a decent amp kit

The amp is a mono only meaning theres only one channel, the amp wont bridge, the subs are SVC 4ohm woofers and running the directly into the amp will only give me a 4ohm load, i dont know if theres a way to drop the 4ohm load down to 2 ohm without a bridge. any help?
