Right now I have 2 MTX 7500 and was trying to save room and get one 12". The 2 10's are getting about 350 watts each where 1 12 would get about 700. Which would get louder. The 2 10's because of the cone area or 1 12 because of the higher watts. The 10's are in a ported box tuned to about 45hz.
