2 10" W7's vs 2 12" IDMAX's

W7 if youre a rich band-wagon wh0re who'd rather spend money on looks than performance, idMAX if you're an intellectual individual that understands great quality can be had for less and the super sexiest magnet design to ever be put on a subwoofer FTMFW. FTMFW = for the mother fukcing win. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

EDIT: and im not saying all this because i own an idMAX myself. and yes, you can give an idmax 1000 watts at full volume.. but you won't need to (assuming you set up your system properly) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Am I wrong to think that 2 13" W6v2's would be louder and yield more SQ than 2 10" W7's? The only drawback I see to the W6v2's it they are 1.2" deeper. I do not have my car here ATM to take measurements either.

2 13" w6v2 will shit on the 2 10w7, in SQ and SPL.

the w6v2 has a bit better SQ than the W7 (comparable size)

Rich? Nope. This is where I decided to spend my tax refunds at and I also have a system from my last car I'm gonna sell for this. The W7 is expensive, though the IDMAX is not cheap either IMO.

I guess doing one IDMAX and giving it 1000WRMS could be an option though I would rather do 2 seeing as how I'm taking out the rear seats in the goat to do this. I'm not really looking to upgrade my alt doing this so I would prefer to keep 1000-1200 watts for the subs.

That's what I needed to know then.

I've narrowed it down to 2 13" W6v2's or 2 12" IDMAX's in 2-2.5cbft sealed box with 1000-1200WRMS. It's pretty much going to come down to which I can get for a better price. With the ID's I can reuse my Alpine MRD-M1005. Since I'm looking to use 1 mono amp this time looks like for the W6's I'll have to sell my two MRD-1005's for something else.
