2 10" W7's vs 2 12" IDMAX's

mag will be e1s choice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif even the ones who have never heard one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. I've only heard a w7 so I can't really comment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. I would get the mag just cuz I'd like to try one out, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.
I'm up for trying new things, just as long as they have been proven to be good. I was orignaly wanting a 15" sub to begin with since I've never had one yet.

I would have thought with the hype of the IDMAX that it would have superior SQ over the W7. I haven't had the chance to hear a IDMAX yet, though I have heard W7's and liked them. With the W6v2 being JL's SQ sub I should be looking more into that, thought their low Xmax makes me not interested.

I'd get the IDMAXes in this case. Though I'm probably biased as I run an IDMAX, in my experience the IDMAX sounds a little better than the W7 (which still sounds great). Also, when you compare the 12" IDMAXes to the 10" W7s, they can probably match the smaller W7s in output. You may also want to look into the Arc Flatline, which is similar to the IDMAX but refined a bit.

Think they two will work well off of 1000WRMS?

I've owned both 10w7 and idmax before. They are different animals to be honest. the w7 is a low end monster, where the idmax excels near the upper bass region.

Just because I like pissing people off, i pick JL . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

idmaxs go for some amount of cash themselves. 300 dollars used... which is around... again around what used w7's go for last time i checked. Could of changed.
actually brand new ones go for about 330 so used should be a lot cheaper, and if you can find me a w7 in good condition for 300 let me know cuz i want it. and you could run each IDMAX with like 1500 watts on it if you wanted to.

Recently, a lot of 10w7s, have been going for at lease 250-275 + shipping. classified forum ftw! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

After looking at the specs again I think I may have ruled out the W6v2's too soon. A 13" W6v2 vs a 10" W7 it seems the W6v2 will be the way to go. It has almost as much xmaxs (21.6 vs 23) and seems to have a nice amount more displacment over the W7 (3.4L vs 2.4L). Power handling I think would be right about the same... though I'm really only looking to use 1000WRMS for the subs anyways. Plus I can get 2 new 13" W6v2's shipped for $750.

Am I wrong to think that 2 13" W6v2's would be louder and yield more SQ than 2 10" W7's? The only drawback I see to the W6v2's it they are 1.2" deeper. I do not have my car here ATM to take measurements either.
