Then what you have should work ok. That 40inch long port is going to eat up a lot of space, thats why I was saying go with the round ports, because they would only need to be 15 or 16in long to get the tune you wanted.

right but with the port i said the sub would see 1.8 cubes that thats enough i think. is my port area and lenth ok? i just havent designed my own before and dont wanna F this up and at one time someone had said that the calculator on the12volt isnt that accurate.

the calc on the 12v is pretty accurate, the re calc is the one that is not accurate. The port area and length you have are fine. I've never messed with a square Kicker so I don't know exactly how well it will work, but it will work.

i think it will work fine, its gonna be on RMS power only so it should be ok

How does a port 4.5 wide 7.5 tall and 40 inches long sound? At 1.7 cubes. On the 12volt.com it says it would be tuned to about 33hz. What do y'all think?

gonna just use that port seems to work well

Id do 1.25ft^3 and tune it to 34hz. using a single 4" aeroport.

I can't use an aero at this point. Just want a second opinion on if my port area and length seem ok.
