2 10" diamond d3:not satisfied

well i have 2 10" diamond audio d3's with the diamond d6 1000.1 amp. it hits alright but my friends 2 10" duals hit harder, witch pisses me off that i spent about $1000 more than he did. i have a nissan titan and custom made sub box under the seats. is this the reason why they are not that loud, not enough air space? i read that these subs hit hard and clean but not mine. any info/sugestions?thanks

its some best buy box, but its pretty big, it takes up all of his rear seats in his 1999 nissan frontier king kab

no they are both sealed. any sugestions on what type of subs i should get that would be compatable with my amp and hit hard/clean. i only got about 6 in of mounting depth in my box.

i really think the d3's should be decent off that power. what's your buddy running and why do you like his subs better? just better output? or better sounding?

there is no reason for some dual subs to be beating those. the diamond d3s are very tight, and fairly loud subs. you are more than likely having trouble in the box or there is a problem in the system. i would say the box being under the seat might have something to do with it, but a well built box down there should still be loud and sound good.

99% positive it's bandpass.
