1st day of school

so college starts up for me yesterday and I know you all do not care but I gotta post how much it sucked just to get my frustrations out. So it's my 1st time at this college. I worked 11-7am the night before, had 2 hours off to go home get changed for school (no sleep) and then got back in about 8:45 and class starts at 9. I am waiting outside the building and I see a guy that I had great rivalries playing basketball against. Really hated him. I cannot play basketball this year and find out he can't either. So out of nowheres, an enemy turns into a good friend as we are both pissed and share the same frustrations.

so I ask him what he's doing here and he says he gotta find class 208... and I go, "oh shit that's what I got too". So We walk in together... to see all OLD ladies. Some ladies talking about how they have kids and even grandkids. We sit together pissed about how it sucked. He then shows me his schedule, I have all the same classes as him. It was weird. A guy I once hated is now a friend and we do everything together for the day.

Classes sucked BAD. We are in beginner classes. I've got a class called Study skills where they teach us how to study. All the classes I signed up for got changed and times changed. So I find out that I need to quit my job too! So I am now broke!

So after all that, we go out looking for girls and I have to say this is the ugliest college I have ever seen. Then the day ends, I get in my car... only to find I have to pay $12 to get it out of the parking lot I was in. I do that and go to workout with my friend (same guy as before), we go to play basketball... And I felt like I was playing worse than ever.

I dont know... lots of rambling there... but a shitty way to start. Any help guys... any comments... why does college **** so much. And there were even other shitty things, I just dont feel like writing it all.

it's a small Canadian college. I think everyone's ugly because they're Canadian j/k. And no it wasn't sewing 101... It was actually orientation for "foreigners" because I am considered forein because I am not a Canadian citizen (even after living here about 4 years). It was a group of about 45 people and some people were Canadian but still in here (like the friend I met). We are all in the same 1st class on wednesdays... It's study skills or something dumb.

college is a wonderful experience, man....you will grow as a man, as a human being there. you will learn a lot about yourself... in college, i believe one finds who they really are. to me, it is the only truly pure place.....take advantage of it. shit, i love school so much, i think i will end up teaching.
