Hey all,
I've been building up this car for almost 18 months now because the timing belt skipped and blew the motor apart. So I dropped in a 3.8L and a 5-speed transmission and a myriad of other things.
Since my stand alone computer is out for repairs, I couldn't get the car running so I decided to work on my stereo.
I initally wanted to build the box out of metal, but decided to have it made of wood instead. The box gives each sub exactly 2.0 cu/ft of volume.
Check out my gear!
I finally built my system the way I have always wanted to.
Two Rockford Fosgate T2 12" subs
Custom ported box
Sundown Audio SAZ-2500D (2500 RMS watts!)
Sundown Audio SAX-100.4D
Clarion NZ500 headunit in custom fiberglass thingy
Infinity Kappa Perfect Components in the front doors
Infinity Kappa Perfect 1" dome tweeters in the dash
Infinity Kappa Perfect 6X9 in rear deck
$300 of dynamat....
I made the amp racks out of 1/8" steel - they are very secure and hidden.
I also have a pair of fiberglass rear armrest enclosures that I will get some Sundown Audio 8" subs soon- i have to make the enclosures pretty first.
The sound is unbelievable.
How bout' them apples!
I named the subs "The Twin Brothers" :dunno:
I figure I just added around 200 lbs of weight to the car :ugh:
