1997 ford expedition 4 12 in subs

hello i have a 1997 ford expedition with 2 12 in rockford fosgates and 2 12 in pioneer premiere subwoofers thein in ported boxed

i have 2 2400 watt directed amps and a 1500 watt amp how can i get the loudest sound out of them for like competitions i would like to hit high 140's to mid 150's

i was thinking about making a box to put all 4 in

just any suggestions would help out alot do i need a capasitor

im just getting into the competitions maybe 4 subs isant the way to go for classes any suggestions to get the loudest in any class with 4 subs 3 amps and 2 batteries i would be in super street class

1 get rid of all those subs and get 4 matching subs, or better yet get 2 really nice subs and dump the four 2 15s would work, 4 15s would be better... also your gonna need alot of power and an electrical system to back it up to hit mid 150s... try hitting a 145 first then a 150 then a 152.5 then maybe u can get higher.....

well iwould like to keep the stuff i have without spending alot more money what can i do to get the best results with what i have i have a 6 fraud capasitor that i dont have hooked up

LIKE EVERYONE SAID dont have 4 differnt subs wtf is that... and no u wont ever hit 150's with that bullshit. and 2 2400 amps and a nother amp right now... err lies.

a) throw the cap out in the street

b) pawn or sell existing equipment

c) you can get some decent 15s and test, test, test

Although I am huge fan of the 'various sub and size' combinations that seem rather popular these days.

u wanna compete but not spend money.... never will happen. u will first need a good ELECTRICAL system. then u start with the subs, box, and hten amp

That setup looks good, just make a bigger ported box...

a) looks like you may need a little more port area with a bigger box.

b) it is really really hard to hit 150 with two 12s with your expedition without buying new equipment. I hate to say it is impossible, but I know folks with much more time and $$ and effort and are only in the mid 140s.

Setup looks okay though

I dunno if those amps are pushing 2.4k each.

2400 max.. that was inferred by most when 3 amps, 2 sets of different subs, cap, and wanting to hit 150s were all mentioned.

to the thread starter.. id say stay out of the street a and street b cause its really tough to do well in those classes with your truck. if you want a wall it will be easier to hit 150s but few people are willing to make that sacrifice. you have to knwo how bad you want 150db cause it will take a lot of money, patience, and knowledge to some extent, though some people just shell out money in place of knowledge and end up doing alright haha.
