1996 ford explorer stock deck F67F-18C852-BA.

I have a friend that helped me install my 2 12" kenwood subs into my car. We have full power to the amp and all the wires are supposedly run properly. My friend knows how to do this stuff but i dont. We got static out of the subs but when the music was turned up, there was nothing coming through. He says he needs a wiring diagram for the stock deck that is installed. It is an F67F-18C852-BA that has cd changed controls. If there's a way i could finish doing this myself it would be great, but i need help. Also when i purchased everything i was given a "Install Edge - Ground Loop Isolator" which they said was needed for a stock deck to work. It has been installed behind the deck but the wiring must be wrong because still no sound. Help please.

It works at low volume and sounds bad, and when you turn it up, you can't hear it at all?

That's because you need a line out converter, not a ground loop isolator. 2 totally different things.

Go into detail on what connections you made.

ok i have that now. battery is run to the amp and connections are all made from amp to subs. the ground wire is run, and all the sound wiring is in place behind the deck, we just dont know where the converter needs to go. someone at ultimate electronics says it needs to be installed in the back where a small stock sub is already installed

That person from ultimate electronics gave you good advice. Go in your trunk and look at the panel on the right below the window. You should see a slotted panel where the sub is, and that panel literally just pops out. Tap into the wires running to the sub and you'll be good.

If you tap into the signal behind the deck, your tapping in before the amplifier and will be getting an extremely weak signal that'll give you little if any output.
