Ok this is my first build log so bare with me. I will be posting plenty of pictures and descriptions and if you have any questions or comments please leave them here or pm me.

The car is a white 1991 Cadillac DeVille with a 4.9L V8, automatic transmission, blue leather interior and was all stock before I got started.

The first thing I wanted to do was to get the trunk and interior sound deadened. I had heard a lot of good things on the forums about Second Skin products so I decided I would use their products in my build. I ordered 120 square feet of regular Damplifier and 32 square feet of Damplifier Pro. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the trunk bare but I ended up finishing the whole thing using 40 foot of the regular Damplifier and the 32 of Damplifier Pro on it. Here are a few pics of the inside of the car bare before I started with the Damplifier and the finished trunk lid.

Ok, after a couple of days work, I got all the doors, the rear deck, dash and trunk completly finished. Here are some pics of the finished product. My hands ended up looking like something out of a horror movie but it was worth it. I think it all turned out really good I am excited to hear the results.

During the night when I couldn't work on Deadening the car, I have been working on getting the tweeters for my comp set in their plates and ready to go. I will be using a set of RE XXX comps up front and a set of RE XXX 6.5" in the rear for fill. I decided to use the stock location for the tweeters so I didn't have to cut anything and I haven't dived into fiberglass yet so I couldn't make my own.

I took the old tweeter plates out and cut the holes bigger so they would fit the new XXX tweets that were going in them. For stock tweets, they didn't sound too bad actually but I'm sure the new ones will sound much better. Here are some more pics:

Tomorrow I'm planning on getting the tweets installed and getting the mids in the doors. I will update this thread with new pics and stuff whenever I can.

I though I'd go ahead and throw this picture in while I'm at it tonight. This is a custom box built to my specs by our good friend VitVeet. The box turned out great and it fits like a glove. I would highly recommend him to build your box if you need one. His prices were the lowest I found and quality is second to none.

The boxes specs are 36" wide, 14" tall and 29" deep. It's 4.5 cubes of airspace tuned to 31 hz and has a 6.75" wide port with 84.5 square inches of port area.

Looks great so far....Cannot wait to see the finished product....After seeing your box dimensions, it appears as though your "useable" trunk space is almost identical to mine....GM Cars FTW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
