looking to see how to do the big three. there is two wires going into my alt. same color coating. one big and one small. which one is the positive to run to the battery?

i will have a pic tomorrow but im sure some minor or major competitors shud know.

I have a 89 caravan 3.0 V6 but I haven't fooled with it much...especially after buying my Explorer....
