1990 Acura Integra

My oldest brother just bought a 1990 Acura Integra LS, He asked me about what kind of speakers are best for it. It takes 5 1/4's or 6 1/2's for the front speakers, 6 1/2's for the rear speakers, He doesn't want subs, it would just make the lil ricer sqweak, and rattle. Don't want that, but he does want the best bass re-production. Just a basic nice sounding replacement would be great. Please give me some feed back, I always turn to you guys for help. Just some decent brands is all I'm looking for.

I hear the Infinity Kappa 6 1/2 not only sound great but offer excellent bass reproduction. Boston acoustics always blew my mind. I owned a pair of the 6 1/2 inch Rally's and the bass was strong, clear and accurate. Not to mention durable enough to take much more power than they are rated for.

I would go for eclipse components for the front and a 2 way for the rear. I had 2 6x9s in my old car and people thought they were 10"s. They are pretty cheep for the sound quality. If you wanted a price on them I could get you the front and rear. I have had my own biz for 2 years now and can get you a deal on a used set or new if wanted. Just tell me the sizes. These all put out very good low end and sound pretty good

(I was actually suprised how good Rockford components sound concidering the SQ of their subs!)

well, everyone here seems to like infinity, but i dont.

I had 4 infinity kappa 5x7s (the new ones with "metal" cones).

If you wanna dish out some cash for some really nice coaxials, check out Diamonds. The 2 i have now kick the shit outta the Infinities, both in highs and low-end. The cones on the kappas just cant handle the bass! Also, I have the diamonds running on 4 times the rated power (yes, that's RMS), and they sound awesome. Could take more too...................................

I would go with a Focal Component System or perhaps MBquart. Both are ideal choices for bass reproduction.

apine type r 6.5 comps blew me away, just find out if they can fit in yur rude, they are veeeeerrryyy deep.
