2.3 or 2.9 ? a 2.3 with svo turbo swap would be pretty sweet...

It's a 2.9 gonna try and boost it eventually but that's later on down the road. The 2.3 svo turbo swap is a lot more common than you'd think lol

Id rather have the ole faithful 2.3 ..but if I like the Ranger enough and its priced right and I ever do a motor swap ...It will be a nice 302....

Yeah those swaps are just too common for me lol I've seen the 302 and 2.3 swap done a lot but never a boosted 2.9 which is why I wanna do one lol

Im not sure of the 2.9 piston size but for boost they need smaller pistons ...I think 8-8.5/1 compression ....The stock 2.3 has too large of piston to hold up with parts swap...the turbo equipped models are designed for this ...I had a Merkur XR4ti back in the day with the factory 2.3 svo turbo engine...the German Mustang lol

Part of the reason the 2.9 is so gutless is because its only got 8.5:1 compression lol

Thats good to know...If I get my ranger ...I may look into this as well...I have so many vehicles right now...maybe I can get them to swap something for the ranger

Hit me up if you need some box design ideas...back in the day ...I did some crazy stuff with the DD products...I use to always be on the DD soundpressure forum...my last design I built in my 89 Ford Probe was 4 DD1508s in a daily 4cuft box tuned at 38hz...a 149.8 at a USACi show

Im sure he will do you a good job...Those subs are made like DDs so the same specs should apply...Im thinking the Sound Quabs are the old AudioQs but I could be wrong
