I guess you are too young to remember the first world beating sound off car, a black Buick Grand National built up by Soundworks and owned by a guy named Richard Clark.

Thats all I was talking about.

I remember it well. IASCA @ ASU campus back in the day. I'll never forget seeing those wave guides under the dash and wondering WTH??? Remember the woofers Richard and his partner were playing with? They had some type of membrane in a box. That car rocked and had the all too rare musicality I require.

hi i just wanted to ask you guys your opinion on the setup im thinking about putting in my car.As far as the headunit goes i just ordered the new Pioneer Premeir Bluetooth Headunit(deh-980bt),I already have a JL 1000/1 and JL 450/4 amp.Im just curious on the subs i should run on the 1000.I want to go with the power wedge JL Box with the two 12"inch W6v2's in it or should i just buy a JL 500/1 and get the Pro Wedge box with two 12"inch W3v2's.Im gonna run Infinity Kappa Perfect 5.25 speakers,Infinity Kappa 3.5 inch speakers in the dash,and 6x9 Infinity Kappa's on the deck with the JL Audio 450/4.What do you guys think of this setup and would the 1000 with the 2 W6's be too much.Which setup would you go with?I want it to hit pretty sweet.Your opinion is appreciated!

ur setup is just fine and the jl w6's will handle the 1000watts my cousin had pretty much the same setup and it was loud

I've owned 3 g bodies. I love those cars, post some pics of yours. Anyway the best I came up with is to custom fit a set of 5.25" components in. Mount the woofer in the door and tweeter in the dash. I actually had 2 sets of PG octane series in my monte. The rear speakers always bottomed out from the subs, so I would avoid them.

G body FTW. Have owned 2 Elco's in the past. Thats the car that made me a true beliver that 1 12" can get loooooouuuud. I always wanted a GN and will probably have one one day. I like being the underdog. I'd be racing vett's all day long and if I lose I SHOULD I'M IN A FREAKING AUTOMATIC V6. Saw a video of a GN that just ***** a viper. 2, 10" would be my pick maybe ID or Fi and make sure its hooked up right.

I got some Asanti AF130's in black with the chrome lip.Its a 3 piece wheel.Front wheel is 20x8.5(2.5inch lip)Rear 20x10(4 inch lip).Tire size is 245/35/20 front,rear 295/30/20.
