i got an old 460 and im sick of carberated. so im putting a CR cummins diesel in there. anyone near arizona with useful knowledge of something like this? and more importantly can anyone help me find the engine cheap. im looking arounf 2001-2004 engine.

if your going with a cummins look for an older 12v the newer ones ****. Thats why no one runs dodges anymore

well im looking to keep it about 8k. and 12v you say? i was just looking at the CR's because i seen one runn an 11.04 @116 or somuthing. im not exactly looking to drag it or nothing but you know. you wanna reecomend an exact model cummins i should look for?

what are you guys talking about I used to owne a powerstroke 6.0....oil changes were cheap only 15 quarts of oil.........i dont miss driving diesel

yeah im not sure what "nothing deisel and cheap go together" means but oh well. with a cummins i'g from 8 mpg to 21 mpg and with biodiesel starting to pop up i'd be much better and cheaper. oil changes would cost less for me because right now i have a 7.5 i think the cummins is 5.9

not to mention a diesel is the cheapest thing to make go fast. $300 dollar chip = 150hp and an easy 2-3 seconds faster down the track. and i plan on throwing on a big *** turbo from the start

Not true, even with diesel at $4 dollars a gallon. The longevity and capabilties of a diesel powered truck still make it a better buy than a gas powered truck. I have had 3 diesel trucks all Powerstrokes and the 1st 2 have gotten over 300K miles out of them before I bought newer to replace. These were both in good running condition when they were sold. The 3rd has almost 130K on it and runs like new and it gets between 17-20 miles to the gallon.

yep i figure with my truck weight i'd get like 21.

maybe less because i want to get bigger injectors and tune the ****** more for straight aways and of course bigger turbo and chip. anyone wanna loan me 20k to get everything how i want it?
