1981 Ford LTD Problem

I need to rewire my WHOLE intire speaker system in my 1981 Ford LTD. The speakers only have 1 ground for all of them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif What gauge of wire would you guys reccomend for the speaker wire for my components?

what kind of components? how much power you running to them? IMO, anything over 16 gauge is overkill.

Right now I only have the shitty factory components, I will be soon upgrading, but not sure what to yet.
