1977 Buick Regal

Ive got one...its at my uncle's house.

Does anyone on here have the 1976 or 1977 model...because last time i was at his house i didnt get the measure the trunk.

The regal has the 350 in it...i want to rebuild the motor and put a nice exauhst system on it...any other upgrades yall think i could do. It only has 143,000 miles on it.

Check all the fluids and make sure that there is no metal in the transmission. Even if it only has 143,000 miles there still could be gremlins in the transmission.

pics when you get it, i got a buick myself and sometimes parts are hard to find but you shouldnt have any problems

Ok....ill ask my uncle about looking in the transmission...(what does metal in the transmission do?

Also...anybody know where to get bumper fillers?

New Cam, new edelbrock intake manifold, better exhast, edelbrock 4 barrel Carb, better fuel pump, new fuel lines/filters.

I would start with the carb/exhast and move to the cam.

Unless you go with one of the higher end Holley Carbs plan on buying a bunch of extra parts. The lower price ones will clog and leak gass with in a couple of weeks.

I have two Holleys I used on a old Dodge and ended up getting an Edelbrock and never had another problem...

My buddy at the auto parts store said that 6/10 of the holleys they sell come back with problems. Go figure... They used to be the carb kings...

Edelbrock carbs = teh junk, ask anyone who races. But as far as what to do to the motor, its virtually unlimited. The 350 is such a universal platform for so many upgrades that you can pretty much just think it up and theres probably a supplier who already has all the equipment you need set up into a kit. A decent set of heads and nice valvetrain setup would really liven things up.

He is right about there being everything and anything under the sun for a 350.

I disagree about the Edelbrock carbs being junk. I know 3 or 4 dirt track guys who use them and swear by them.
