Eh the kimber you spend 1300 to get a gun and one mag, the Beretta I spent $560 and got a gun 2 mag and a bunch of crap. There is plenty of good/bad with both.

I have been close to buying sti a couple times. Range from about 1100 or so on up. Couple companies even sell them with trigger jobs already done though I forget their names. Brazil's firearms may be one?

If you're wanting USA don't get their low end spartan. I think it's philipino made but assembled in Texas. Others are I believe all made in Texas.

If you got the money to spend on a 1911 id go for something a bit better. The FN Five Seven. You wont believe how accurate these pistols are.
