18volts?

Well, I got 2 more pics to upload but my phone is acting up. the voltages where 16.66 at the battery and 16.69 on my dash volt meter. It spiked at 17 flat but i didn't get a photo of it. although everything "seems" okay at that voltage my amp is not, anything higher than about 15.5 volts and my amp shuts off.

Okay, I got tired of messing around with the electrical and just got a new voltage regulator, now I sit at a happy 14.69 on my dash.

Last question, is it normal for me to get my normal 14.5-15.4 volts with the car idle the stereo on full tilt and when i rev the engine the voltage does not change.. it would seem im getting my full 110 amps at idle.

having an idling voltage of 14.5 volts doesnt mean your alty is charging at a full 110amps, if thats what you are asking. That just means that your system is not draining enough out of whatever it is charging at to cause a voltage drop.

I know 14.5 volts doesn't mean its putting out max amperage, but even with a load. (amps or jump starting a car with dead battery) I always see 14.5 at idle. Wouldn't charging a dead battery (~2 volts) cause a fairly large load?

yes it will but if the voltage regulator reacts fast enough it will keep the voltage at 14.5v until the alt cant up out enough amperage to maintain that. Charging a dead bad probably wont take any more then 50 amps.
