Stuck in work now goin crazy waitin to work on this!!!!!

I positioned the sub in what I have right now, and its definately lookin like I'll need to have a total of 7 baffles on the front of the enclosure, thats not including the beauty panel that will go over it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Oh and Im thinking about goin with teh square port for now, but cutting a larger area out of the baffles, and making only the last one or two cut to the size of the port, that way I can swap the baffles out with the ports. I just want to get it in and listen to it, then Ill play around with the port and add in the round one later after I mess with the tuning.

Well I am wasted and I got a shit load of stuff done today. I got off work at 5 and was cuttin birch and mdf by 7:30, I got 7 total baffles mounted, and an external port in. I decided to change the design at the last minute since I would have practically had to build the port in the enclosure for it to work, and I want to have an easily interchangeable port. I ended up using a square mdf port on the drivers side. I will be making a new port that will drop in after I take the time to configure the dimensions. For now, or atleast the next week I will be bangin it how it is.

Tommorow I will finish the rear baffle, wire and mount the sub, wire the amps, set amps with dmm, and pound. All day long!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Pics in the morning cuz my camera died //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Sub is in, amp is in, yellow top is in, all wired, front stage amp is semi-in, everything set with the dmm and tweaked. I set the gain for ~2900wrms, or 76~77 volts. The electrical holds up substantially, after beatin on it for a while and coming to a stop I get a slight drop in voltage, maybe down to 11.5. Im gonna charge the batts tonight but even how it is now it feels like I could beat on it for weeks and not have a problem.

The enclosure is solid as hell, but Im not done with it yet. The port is external, I had to sacrifice a little bit here and came up with the idea of external for now to get my tuning adjusted. It looks pretty ugly with a mondo external port coming out right by my head.....I still need to make the cover panels, clean everything up, wiring ect......And construct a new port that will drop into the enclosure. Right now its leaking into the trunk quite a bit but theres no panels in place, just two wide open holes on the sides going to the trunk.

All in all I am extremely satisfied with it at this point. It can get much louder and just with the testing I did today it will do hair tricks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif On tones it is abusive, you dont even want to sit in it.....I dont have much flex or rattles. The car is very solid, the majority of the flex is the dash, steering wheel, side windows and the front window moves alot on tones.

Going to shoot some vids of it at the park after I burn a CD so Ill post some stuff up later tonight.

This project is far from finished, still need to add the beauty panels, false floor in the back, and mount the front stage amp to that, as well as the battery rack.

Vidz

Much more to come, oh and the vids dont really do it justice, I need to get a better cam. And I forgot to take a vid of a hair trick with my mom. Ill shoot one later //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

y so much trunk flex? isn't supposed to be sealed off? Nice build though
I know, read what I said lol. The build is nowhere near complete yet. Its not even sealed off yet from the trunk. Theres two mondo *** holes on each side of the box that allows everything to leak into the trunk. I need to add the last baffle that covers everything from the back window down to the floor. After that and a new port it should get much much better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Mikey that is one nice build man looking great man. especially nice vid's what bass tone u playing in first two or is it not a bass tone looks like it though. very nice man keep it up . be sure to keep updated on my build as well man:D.

Man the more I listen to this the more I am impressed with it. You honestly have to hear it before you can really understand what it is capable of. When I burp a tone, 30hz, 35hz, with my 32hz tuning, people dont even want to sit in this car.

It should really get wanging when I finish up the baffles, brace the inside of the box, and make everything pretty and add the new port.

This project has definately far exceeded all of my expectations and I am more than satisfied. Ill try and get a better camera today and shoot some impressive vids to prove what it will do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
