Update!!!!!
The basic structure of the enclosure is almost complete. I pulled off the outer two baffles in order to come up with a different idea for the port.
Needless to say it was pretty hard to come up with an interchangable port made out of MDF that would slide in and out. I didnt want to sacrifice any port area. What resulted was a 3inch cut with the sawzall left of the port opening, making it 15in wide.
I ended up making a port that is 27in long, internally 13.25wx7.5h. Just over 99sqin of port. Which is just at 14sqin per cubic volume, the max recommendation. Internal volume after displacment is just above 7cube, about 7.2.
The port can drop in and out of the box without any problems, Im at my lowest desired tuning, and tuning any higher only requires me to build up a shorter port and drop it in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
The 5 front baffles that are on now got a coating of resin in the sub and port cutouts, all corners in the enclosure also got a coat of resin to ensure that everything is sealed up, two final baffles will be added back on tommorow that will flush the sub up, and the port baffles will be part of the port and secured to the front of the enclosure.
After tommorow I will have a really really good idea of how capable this setup is. Next step after that is to cut up and wrap all of the beauty panels sealing it off from the rear of the car.
Pics in a few whenever I finish some shit
