Had this box sitting in my garage for well over a year now, it's 2.2 cu ft sealed for a 15" moofer.

One of the first boxes I ever built, and it wasn't exactly pretty. It was sealed up just fine though, no leaks.

Originally I had drilled a hole in the back to run the speaker wire and sealed it up with duct tape....how far I've come, LOL.

Here are some BEFORE and AFTER pictures. Used two cans of truck bedliner ($14) and a tube of silicone ($3) to be absolutely positive that the box is sealed, before it goes up for sale. I also added a terminal cup and sanded the bish down and rounded the corners with my DA sander...check it out. Only thing left to do is get a blade and trim off the excess silicone on the outside of the box where I sealed in the terminal cup...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I can't lay a nice bead of silicone if my life depended on it, I think it's because I cut the hole too big in the tube. But it gets the job done! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

still looks like crap IMO. :/

not being a dick i'm just being honest.

I know it isn't the greatest, but it looks a hell of a lot better than it did before, like I said, this is one of my first boxes. Truck bedliner finish isn't exactly pretty, but it's VERY durable and looks decent. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

that's what I was thinking. Throw that bish out and build a nice one.
When cutting open a tube of caulk, make the cut at an angle. Lays down much nicer that way...
LOL, I don't even have a 15" sub yet...I was going to put it up for sale for a reasonable price unless I end up with a 15" in the not too distant future. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Cut at an angle? Thanks for the tip. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Also, don't be afraid to use your finger to spread the caulk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
spit on it first (finger) and it won't stick to you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

X2

I usually cut the tube @ 30 degree angle, and a small slit.

Go over the corner, and run through the corner with my finger.

That way it looks cleaner and better, plus it insures no air bubbles
